Lies, lies, lies

He said his kidney doctor called and said that his labs were all good.

I went online to look for "new" labs, there were none. He did not get a kidney panel or any kidney function work down this last time.

(He still doesn't remember that he gave me the password before his last surgeries)

Is he telling me more lies?

Did the doc get it wrong?

I asked him if the kidney guy still wanted to see him.  He said "yes".

I asked him if he is going to schedule an appointment to see him?  He said "no".  He said he doesn't need to go see him if his labs are good.

(huge sigh from me)

And I could tell that if I asked him one more question.....he was going to get pissed....so I didn't say anything else.

Because of patient confidentiality and because we have separate health insurance plans, I cannot call his doc, the HMO won't even put the call through.

Bracing myself as I know it's only going to get worse.

How asinine is a health care system that won't even allow spouses to watch out for their husbands/wives? Unbelievable. I like the online system you speak of, though. Wish I had that option. Wondering if maybe the information just hasn't been entered yet?

I don't think it will get better. My type 2 husband does the same to me -lies about things and forgetfulness. I just remind him that he need to stay on top of his appointments. My dh will not sign a release form for me to talk to his doctors (we have only been married for over 20+ years).:( My dh talks around in circles too when I try to ask him about what his doctor tells him. I am currently unemployed and once I find a job I am filing for a divorce. I know I do not want to live like this till I die.
