His pain is so bad he called the doc to try and get in to see someone again today. Second visit in under a week. And he has an extremely high pain tolerance level.
Has been on the sofa or in bed. Can't walk hardly at all. Severe pain.
But he is still on the diet plan - doing fine with that.

Dear DW,
As the mom of a teenage Type 1, I follow your blog with hope and prayer that my son will take care of his diabetes. As the wife of a physical therapist, I want you to know that sciatica CAN be treated, your husband doesn't need to "sit around and wait for it to heal". A referral to a competant PT can help get your hubby back on the road. Sciatica can be sooo terribly painful and debilitating.
As always - you can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink.
I'm married to a "horse". He has to be the person to seek treatment. My daily comment simply is, "did ou call......" (doctor, therapist, endo...) and he never does.
Not much else I can do. Trust me, if it were me who had this disease - I'd be taking care of the pain. I just don't do pain at all!
