It sounds like he could well be having highs and lows. It's important that he not eat anything from midnight until he gets the blood drawn. Nothing at all. And then really, he should have an A1c done as that will give you a better overall level in the event he is having highs and lows throughout the day.

Good luck! I know those "hours of hell" are almost unbearable.

DWDiabeteswifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12766498325089988838noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24545697.post-50636811970986572382008-06-13T05:59:00.000-07:002008-06-13T05:59:00.000-07:00I don't think my husband is diabetic, however he e...I don't think my husband is diabetic, however he exhibits the exact same uncontrollable anger in the morning. I call it the "hours of hell" between 7:30 - 10:30 a.m. He doesn't get out of bed that way, it takes about 1/2 hour and the mood dramatically changes. He won't eat anything immediately, and after he does, it take about an hour for him to calm down. But yes, he begins to complain about anything and everything. It begins to just get MEAN after a while. I feel like his behavior is abusive because he can't seem to control himself. It's unreasonable, and he refuses to listen to rational talk. Is this a blood sugar thing? I know he should be tested, but for what exactly? He is hurtful with his words, and slams around the house like a mad man, then round about noon all is well....like he's two different people. Does anyone have anything similar?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
