But he refuses to take the steps that you take, and I can't do them for him. I applaud you on your discipline. Wish everyone would do that!<br />Diabeteswifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12766498325089988838noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24545697.post-65613188088139222682016-07-07T15:34:20.712-07:002016-07-07T15:34:20.712-07:00You know, it didn't have to be this way. I'...You know, it didn't have to be this way. I've been following your blog for probably 10 years now. I'm a type 1 diabetic -- adult onset, at age 60 -- for 18 years now. I have no diabetic related complications, and this is because I test 10x daily and adjust my insulin dose to match the carbs I'm eating at each meal. I don't eat between meals. I write everything down so I can base my dose on past results. My computer has been a godsend, because it makes it easy to access my old records and chart my progress. Yes, it requires discipline. But the tradeoff is well worth it. I feel like my life since my diagnosis has been dictated by the disease. But I don't have any complications, and this makes all the work worthwhile. I'm 78 now and very healthy. I'm saddened that more people don't know this is possible and make the effort. whimsy2https://www.blogger.com/profile/05297905288843331074noreply@blogger.com
